With Google AI, you can instantly explore any virtual world you can imagine

Google has just started providing access to an AI model that I can actually support. It allows you to create any kind of virtual world and travel through it with a vehicle or character like in a video game – all with text prompts or images that you upload.

That could be a spaceship flying over an alien planet, an airship over a 1950s European city based on a photograph, or a tapir running through vast swathes of the Amazon rainforest. Everything is contained in a web app called Project Genie, which you can access with a Google Ultra account in the US as long as you’re over 18.

This app is based on the Genie 3 model, which Google introduced back in August 2025, when it was only available to a limited number of testers. This uses the company’s Nano Banana Pro imaging model and Gemini to transform your text prompts into immersive experiences.
