Trust defines operating systems for enterprise AI

Many organizations are also finding that their structures, workflows and role definitions were designed for a time before AI. Technology is advancing faster than the operating models around it, creating a disconnect between the capabilities of AI systems and the way organizations are actually structured to use them. In many cases, the challenge no longer lies in technical performance, but in organizational preparedness.

Australia’s shift from AI experimentation to more regulated execution has not resulted in sweeping new laws, but it has significantly increased expectations for accountability, particularly in human resources and finance, where decisions have legal, financial and reputational consequences. The underlying laws around privacy, discrimination, consumer protection and copyright have not fundamentally changed, but the expectations around how organizations apply these standards to AI certainly have.
