Tire giant Michelin has confirmed a data breach resulting from the massive cybercrime campaign targeting companies using Oracle’s E-Business Suite (EBS) solution.
The ransomware and extortion group Cl0p has claimed responsibility for this EBS hacking campaignZero-day vulnerabilities were exploited to gain access to data stored by target organizations in Oracle’s business management software.
It’s worth noting that while Cl0p acts as a publicly available extortion token for the Oracle EBS campaign, cybersecurity researchers believe the operation was primarily driven by a sophisticated group of threat actors FIN11.
The Cl0p website listed more than 100 organizations suspected of being attacked.
One of them is the tire manufacturer Michelin, which has now confirmed this Safety Week that it was one of the organizations affected.
