International Business Machines (NYSE:IBM), the enterprise-software and infrastructure provider, added LTM as a deployment partner for Lightwell on Wednesday. IBM shares slipped approximately 0.2% to $231.48, suggesting investors remain unconvinced that another distribution channel will quickly turn the AI-powered security platform into meaningful revenue.
IBM committed $5 billion earlier this year to Lightwell and related open-source security initiatives. The platform deploys AI agents to find vulnerabilities, build patches and test the fixes, generating 7,500 patches during its first two weeks. LTM will bring integration, validation and DevSecOps support to enterprise customers. That matters because clever technology is only the starting line; dependable deployment is what gets corporate budgets moving.
