As Google plans Buffalo data center, a Civil War historian hopes for battle marker

Civil War historian, author and Hurricane, West Virginia, resident Philip Hatfield hopes to get a battle marker on the land recently acquired by Google for a data center. The marker would indicate approximately where the Battle of Atkeson’s Gate took place in Putnam County.
