The Newegg listing actually shows $489 as the price for this bundle, but there’s a red “Discount available” button right below the product name. Clicking that unlocks an additional $50 promo code after you enter your email address, bringing the price down to $439. The retailer is also throwing in a very respectable Gamdias BOREAS M2-510WH air cooler worth $35 for free, technically making this bundle cost only $404.
As for the parts themselves, the Ryzen 7 5800X may be six years old at this point, but it’s no slouch when it comes to gaming, especially 1080p competitive gaming, where the RTX 5060 also shines. Back when we tested this CPU, it performed at the top of our charts, and its 8-core config is still valuable today. The Zen 3 architecture is efficient, and the AM4 socket has now earned legendary status for its longevity.
