KUALA LUMPUR: YTL AI Labs Sdn Bhd, the artificial intelligence solutions arm of YTL Power International Bhd under the YTL Group, today announced Nemotron-Personas-Malaysia, an open dataset developed with NVIDIA to represent Malaysia’s population diversity through 1.35 million synthetic personas.
In a statement, YTL AI Labs said the personas were generated from 150,000 base records using distributions grounded in official Malaysian demographic statistics.
It said the dataset is free for commercial use under a permissive licence, providing developers, researchers and enterprises with a foundation for building AI systems that reflect Malaysia’s languages, cultures, regional differences and working life. It is also the first dataset in NVIDIA’s Nemotron-Personas collection to lead with Bahasa Melayu.
“The personas are statistically realistic profiles of a population generated to reflect Malaysia’s actual demographics, region by region.
“No personal data is contained in the dataset and no individual can be identified from it,” YTL AI Labs said.
YTL AI Labs said the Nemotron-Personas-Malaysia is the latest addition to NVIDIA’s growing Nemotron-Personas collection, following datasets developed for the United States, Japan, India, Singapore, Brazil, France, South Korea, El Salvador, Vietnam and Belgium.
