Xero shares rise on deal with AI giant Anthropic

Xero Ltd (ASX: XRO) shares end the week on a positive note.

Why are Xero shares rising?

After releasing a promising announcement, investors bought the company’s shares.

There have been concerns that artificial intelligence (AI) could disrupt Xero’s business, but today it has shown how it could strengthen it.

This morning, Xero and Anthropic, the company behind Claude, announced a multi-year partnership that will integrate Claude’s AI directly into Xero and Xero’s financial data and tools into Claude.ai.

According to the press release, this will give small businesses and their accounting advisors real-time financial information and the ability to act on it wherever they choose to work.
