Oracle dismisses fears of SaaS slowdown

During Oracle’s fiscal year 2026 Fourth quarter results Call, CEO Mike Sicilia said concerns about the “SaaS apocalypse” caused some customers to delay their decisions a few quarters ago, but that sentiment has changed.

“People moved quickly to do this,” Sicilia said, citing fears that spending on business software would fall sharply.

He added that Oracle’s customers are increasingly viewing AI-enabled software as essential for modernization and business protection.

“Enterprise software, especially when AI is integrated into our SaaS solutions, is certainly a very good approach and necessary to advance the modernization and protection of their companies,” said Sicilia.
