Australians have been warned about a rise in misleading and false AI-generated posts online.
Articles circulating on the Internet indicate that comprehensive changes to the road traffic regulations would apply to drivers over 65 from April 1st.
Some websites have also claimed that superannuation and pension laws would come into force from Wednesday.
However, these changes are misinformation created using artificial intelligence.
There are no new laws or changes for road users over 65 years old, and the last adjustment to the old age pension was on March 20.
AI-generated misinformation is spreading online
This is not the first time AI-generated misinformation has caused concern among Australians online.
Last year, similar AI-generated misinformation spread online about changes to road rules, including one that claimed drivers over 60 would face “night driving restrictions” that would ban them from driving on the road between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
