Broadcom Inc. is suing NIXN Solutions Inc. over statements allegedly made by the New Braunfels security consulting firm’s officials at a June conference in Atlanta.
A New Braunfels security consulting firm is being sued by Broadcom Inc. over allegations that it told security professionals the chipmaker was 54% Chinese-owned and a threat to U.S. national security.
Broadcom says IXN Solutions LLC officials described the Silicon Valley chipmaker as a “foreign company” at a June conference in Atlanta. The lawsuit alleges the presentation also invoked “the adversary” while discussing Chinese espionage, which Broadcom says suggested China was acting through the company.

Broadcom, a publicly traded company with a market value of more than $1.7 trillion, filed the suit Monday in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in San Antonio. It seeks unspecified damages and an injunction barring IXN from repeating the statements and…
