Why is China sinking AI data centers?

China is taking an unconventional approach to building a greener AI infrastructure: It is moving data centers underwater. Off the coast of Shanghai’s Lingang Special Area, a newly commissioned offshore platform is now home to the world’s first commercial subsea platform
