Why 2026 could be the year of anti-AI marketing | CNN business

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to escape the slop, the artificial intelligence-generated chatter that has crept into our colleagues’ slides, our social media feeds, our news channels and even our real estate listings.

“Slop seeps into everything,” wrote Merriam-Webster editors, who chose “slop” as the 2025 word of the year. “How mucus, mudAnd dirt, gradient has the wet sound of something you don’t want to touch.”

So I’m taking a moment to look into my crystal ball and make one of those dreaded year-end predictions: 2026 will be the year of “100% human” marketing.
