While the AI ​​market leader Nvidia is presenting record results, Warren Buffett has surprisingly bet on Google

The world’s most valuable listed company, US microchip maker Nvidia, has reported record revenue of US$57 billion (AU$88 billion) in the third quarter of 2025, beating Wall Street estimates. The chipmaker said revenue would rise again to $65 billion in the final part of the year.

The better-than-expected results calmed global investor jitters after a tumultuous week for Nvidia and broader worries about the artificial intelligence (AI) bubble bursting.

A few weeks ago, Nvidia became the first company to be valued at more than $5 trillion, surpassing others of the “magnificent seven” technology companies: Alphabet (owner of Google), Amazon, Apple, Tesla, Meta (owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) and Microsoft.

Nvidia shares rose more than 5% to $196 in after-hours trading immediately following the results.
