One company with roots in Broome County has made the Forbes and Statista list of “America’s Best Large Employers.”
Overall, five New York-based employers made the list’s top 50, including IBM.
Thousands of employees from 700 companies were surveyed and asked about salary, benefits, work environment and other relevant factors. Those responses, along with other survey data, were analyzed to provide the publication’s 2026 rankings.
According to Forbes, companies with more than 5,000 employees were considered large employers for the latest list.
Despite IBM’s closure of its Endicott office in 2023, the company’s roots and legacy remain throughout Broome County, as it was once one of the most economically bountiful companies in the region.
