Q. What is the feedback on Computer, since its launch this February?

It’s phenomenal. People are building their workflows around it. Our head of recruiting for technical roles has built, what he calls, the Bloomberg terminal of recruiting. He uses that now, and not LinkedIn. And that’s just one person.

This took several humans working across different parts of the stack… and it’s now getting orchestrated by AI. We call it ‘computer’ because AI changes the meaning of a computer. The word ‘computer’ has always meant the autonomous division of complex work.

Now, AI is the computer. It orchestrates almost all the stuff that we do manually… it’s becoming the orchestration layer, where models are just tools, along with the file systems and code sandboxes.

No single model can do your task, but a group of models—with the right tools and connectors—can be orchestrated to do almost any task you do on a computer. This gives a completely new meaning to AI—going from a model to an orchestra. So, the work you do is the orchestra, and the models are instruments, along with files, connectors and sub-agents that do the orchestration. When you operate at a level above the sub-agents, you’re the conductor.

That’s the role Computer is playing in this competitive AI space. By packaging it as an orchestra, we’re providing a differentiated, unique positioning. Each model is getting good at specific things, and so, there’s value in being a master orchestrator.

Q. It…
