EXCLUSIVE – The Ministry of War The Office of the Inspector General was asked to review a contract that has since been terminated oracle This went hundreds of millions of dollars over budget and lasted several years longer than it should have.

The Pentagon launched the Defense Civilian Human Resources Management System program in 2018 under the President. Donald Trump’s first term. Minister of War Pete Hegseth terminated the contract last year, saying in a memo at the time that further investment in the program would “throw more good tax dollars after bad ones.”

The American Accountability Foundation sent a letter to the inspector general this week asking for a financial audit and investigation into the reasons the project failed. However, it is unclear whether the regulator will comply with the request. The office operates a hotline where people can report waste, fraud, abuse and other violations of law or policy.

The contract was originally supposed to have a term of one year.
