June 2 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Tuesday after hitting a series of record highs, while spectacular results from Hewlett Packard Enterprise and a funding commitment from Alphabet underlined investor confidence in the development of AI.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 166.0 points, or 0.33%, at the open to 50,912.84. The S&P 500 fell 4.6 points, or 0.06%, at the open to 7,595.4, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 56.7 points, or 0.21%, to 27,030.072 at the open.
