VMware has announced the launch of Cloud Flex Storage, which includes a new instance, m7i.metal-24xl, for VMware Cloud on AWS, offering more options for customers. Previously, customers had to use vSAN to provision instances with locally attached storage for SDDC clusters. However, with m7i.metal-24xl, customers can establish clusters without local storage and configure disaggregated SDDC clusters through the VMware Cloud Services Console.
