Virgin Australia has signed a deal with OpenAI that will allow the airline to make its flight data available to ChatGPT users, allowing the chatbot to make travel recommendations and plan and ultimately book flights.
The airline said on Friday that its technology team had begun building the OpenAI platform and was looking at ways to connect the Virgin Australia app directly to ChatGPT using recently announced developer tools.
