Ukraine is setting up a UK-backed AI center “A1” to develop EW-resistant drones and predict Russian movements

Ukraine is launching “A1,” a specialized artificial intelligence center designed to quickly integrate AI technologies into the country’s military operations and defense economy, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced April 18.

Designed as a collaborative hub, the A1 Center will bring together military personnel, Ukrainian scientists and international partners to develop cutting-edge AI solutions tailored directly to the battlefield.

The overall goal is to ensure that Ukrainian forces remain faster, more agile and more effective in the air, on the ground and in resource management than their Russian opponents. The initiative is being actively implemented with the support of the British government.
