Washington | President Donald Trump is gathering technology executives at the White House next week to sign pledges committing their companies to foot the electricity bill for energy-hungry data centers amid fears the AI ​​boom will drive up electricity bills for ordinary households.

Executives from Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Google parent Alphabet are expected to attend the March 4 event along with the president, a White House official said. Others on the invite list include Elon Musk’s xAI Corp, Oracle and OpenAI.
