Washington | President Donald Trump appointed industry heavyweights such as Mark Zuckerberg of Meta Platforms, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, Larry Ellison of Oracle and Jensen Huang of Nvidia to a new presidential technology council that will focus on artificial intelligence policy and other science-related issues.
The President’s Advisory Council on Science and Technology is chaired by David Sacks, the venture capitalist who now serves as Trump’s AI and crypto czar, and White House Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios, according to the White House, which announced the composition of the panel on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT).
