DDon’t you just love AI? It has flooded the internet with nonsense, destabilized the concept of truth, and made it much easier to bombard people. And that’s just the beginning. As we look to the future of our brave new world, AI could also disrupt all those pesky, highly educated voters who keep voting for Democrats.
To be clear, this assessment does not come from me, a completely exhausted woman who wishes Democrats would try a little harder to win the people’s vote. Rather, it comes from one of the key architects of our glorious AI-driven economy: Alex Karp, the co-founder and CEO of technology company Palantir.
On Thursday, Karp sat down with CNBC to talk about Palantir’s AI-driven Maven Smart System, which the U.S. military uses to visualize potential targets and “nominate” them for bombing. In addition to talking about how America’s “deadly capabilities” make it special, Karp also highlighted the extent to which AI will change the political landscape.
