High in the snowy Swiss mountains in Davos this week, world leaders waxed poetic about the promise of AI. One called it “magic” and “the fastest technological gigacycle in history.” Meanwhile, others pondered that this would lead to a “tsunami” of layoffs. Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, announced that AI will automate all software development within 12 months.
