The UK Data Protection Commissioner launches an investigation into X over Grok AI sexual deepfakes

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has launched formal investigations into X and xAI to determine whether Elon Musk’s companies complied with data protection laws after chatbot Grok was used to generate deepfake sexual images without consent.
