Death, taxes, uncontrollable laughter at robots stacking everything.
Artificial intelligence’s latest contribution to civilization appeared this week in the form of a humanoid robot that confidently danced to Billie Jean before immediately collapsing lifeless on stage.
The clip, filmed during a robotics event in Shenzhen, shows the AGIBOT Expedition A3 performing a truly impressive moonwalk. The rapid acceleration of robotics sports, particularly in China, has viewers around the world in a state of simultaneous awe and unease as videos of backward-jumping, armed super robots flash across our screens.
This particular guy could be seen confidently gliding back and forth with MJ in the background, executing surprisingly smooth dance moves as viewers filmed on their phones. Then gravity intervenes.
After almost losing its balance at the edge of the stage, the robot returns to exactly the same spot a few moments later, and that’s a disaster…
