Even after all these years, the Nvidia Shield Android TV Pro sits atop the throne as the best Android-based streaming box on the market. For Black Friday, you can get it on sale for just $169.99 after a 15% off discount. This is the best deal I expect to come out of Black Friday, especially since I haven’t seen it discounted even once this year. According to Amazon, it’s selling out quickly, so get in on this deal quick or you might have to wait until the end of 2026 to get it on sale again.

The current generation Nvidia Shield Android TV Pro was released back in 2019 and uses the same Nvidia Tegra X1 CPU found in the Nintendo Switch console. Despite the fact that it’s several years old, Nvidia still officially supports this device and regularly releases updates for it. The 3GB of onboard RAM and 16GB of built-in storage might sound outdated, but make no mistake the Shield TV Pro blows the Roku, Apple TV, Fire Stick, Chromecast, and just about every other media player out of the water in terms of performance and functionality.
