Hiring has already slowed in several technology jobs affected by the rise of artificial intelligence, but AI could ultimately reshape the job market by creating jobs rather than eliminating them, according to a new report from Deloitte.
Deloitte Access Economics’ Employment forecasts for June 2026 concludes that the rapid adoption of AI is now beginning to influence employment trends.
However, whether the technology ultimately reduces overall employment or, more importantly, complements existing roles and increases productivity will only become clear in a few years.
The report identifies more than 82 “AI-related” jobs that are likely to decline in the coming years, along with many “AI-enhanced” jobs that will see increased demand as AI adoption accelerates.
