The government intends to dominate the federal AI oversight board

The Treasury will select candidates from the ranks of the Australian Civil Service for its new government AI review board, set to be established in the middle of next year.

The department announced this iTnews that the Digital Transformation Agency is currently preparing the Committee’s terms of reference and that it will provide further information on the composition of the Oversight Board when it is launched early next year.
