The AI-Human Pairing Needed to Boost Australia’s Prosperity | The Spectator Australia

Australia is at a turning point.

The country’s productivity is lagging and the causes are complex. Legacy systems, skills gaps and structural inefficiencies are all contributing factors – as are new and emerging technologies that require new ways of working.

Now is the time to develop a national vision for how companies increase productivity, and it all starts with creating a symbiotic connection between employees and artificial intelligence.

There is no doubt that productivity in Australia has stalled.

An August report from the Reserve Bank of Australia said that “a decline in business dynamism and slower technological penetration into the economy” had been a driving factor in the productivity decline and that “slower productivity growth has had a direct impact on the growth of wages, income and household spending”.
