The year-old data and AI joint venture Telstra-Accenture is proposing to cut about 209 jobs, with some hiring and others relocating to India.
The seven-year joint venture was announced in January last year and is designed to help Telstra modernize its data and AI platforms and build AI tools and capabilities.
Telstra offered core data and AI employees a place in the joint venture when it was founded.
The company was also expected to become “more efficient and lean as Telstra’s data and AI roadmap accelerates”.
