HPE is introducing a new virtualization capability for its GreenLake Private Cloud customers, including a new kernel-based virtual machine developed by HPE. The capacity will be available by the end of 2024 with subscription options ranging from self-managed to fully managed services.
HPE’s virtualization capability will offer automated virtual machine lifecycle management and integration with other GreenLake technologies such as HPE Alletra MP Storage, Zerto for data protection, and Operations ramp for IT operations management. The development was driven by customer demand for a comprehensive GreenLake stack. The launch is not in response to market uncertainties following Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware.
