Anthropic (ANTH.PVT) on Wednesday announced it has signed an agreement to access computing capabilities from Elon Musk’s SpaceX (SPAX.PVT).
According to the agreement, Anthropic will use all of the computing capacity at SpaceX’s Colossus 1 data center. That amounts to more than 300 megawatts of new AI compute, powered by more than 220,000 Nvidia GPUs.
SpaceX says Anthropic has also expressed interest in working with the private space company to develop orbiting AI data centers.
Financial terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed.
Anthropic says that the additional capacity from Colossus 1, as well as other recent agreements with Amazon (AMZN), Google (GOOG, GOOGL), Microsoft (MSFT), and Nvidia (NVDA), will enable it to increase capacity for its Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers.
