One answer is to directly support new renewable energy production.
On Monday, Google, European Energy Australia and Australian data center operator AirTrunk said they were preparing to commission the 25-megawatt Mulwala solar farm in regional New South Wales. The aim is to demonstrate a responsibly built digital infrastructure by meeting “growing digital needs” with new renewable energy sources.
