SWI Compute, a new AI infrastructure company within Euronext Amsterdam-listed SWI Group, emerged from stealth on October 26, 2026, announcing plans to build and operate NVIDIA AI factories starting in Europe, backed by 3.6 gigawatts of power capacity and approximately $1 billion in NVIDIA systems orders.
The company became a Preferred NVIDIA Cloud Partner in August 2026 and has finalized contracts with its first customers, according to its launch announcement. SWI Compute said it will deploy globally, with its strongest presence and deployments in Europe.
CEO Halil Mirakhmedov described energy availability as the primary bottleneck facing European AI infrastructure, noting that SWI Group spent six years acquiring grid access. “Just two months after joining the NVIDIA Cloud Partner program, our team secured approximately $1 billion in advanced hardware orders and executed initial client contracts,” he said, adding that the market continues to surpass available capacity.
First UK Factory and 2029 Roadmap
SWI Compute’s first large-scale AI factory, in the UK, starts with 30 MW of capacity, close to 7,000 Rubin GPUs and 3,500 Vera CPUs in NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks, and is expected to come online by the end of 2027. The company identifies Cambridge as the site of that first factory. The racks are connected by NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking.
