The country’s largest retirement funds have invested more than $143 billion in retirement savings, or about 10 percent of their holdings, in stocks affected by the artificial intelligence boom. However, they are not worried that the rapid rise in valuations is creating a bubble that is about to burst.
The Australian funds have followed the rest of the world’s major investors and invested in the seven largest technology stocks, whose shares have seen a rise of around 300 percent since the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022.
