In her final months of secondary school last year, Xanthe Stuckey’s main goal was simply to pass her Year 12 exams.
She wasn’t sure what would happen next.
Feeling the pressure to “commit to something,” Ms. Stuckey immediately enrolled to study art at Latrobe University, but dropped out just two weeks later.
“You have to make a decision so early and you have no idea whether it’s the right one or not,” she said.
“You are simply thrown into the deep end.“

Ms Stuckey always enjoyed psychology and history, but felt lost when it came to deciding where and what she wanted to study at university.
And she is not alone.
