U.S. District Judge P. Casey Pitts asked the intervening states what’s wrong with Hewlett Packard Enterprise hiring outside counsel and exercising its “right to ask the government” to resolve U.S. Justice Department antitrust claims alleging that HPE’s $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks is harmful to competition.
