SpaceX is reportedly seeking $40 billion in financing to buy NVIDIA processors, a sum that would turn Elon Musk’s rocket company into one of the chipmaker’s largest customers and push its ambitions well past Starlink and Mars. The financing push, first detailed by Investor’s Business Daily, would fund a buildout that stretches from SpaceX’s existing data centers in Memphis to a proposed fleet of AI-processing satellites in orbit. As of October 11, 2026, the deal is still being negotiated, not finalized, and several of the boldest specifics floating around online have not been confirmed by SpaceX itself.
