SoftBank is investing €75 billion in Europe’s largest AI facility in France

SoftBank has pledged to invest up to 75 billion euros ($121.6 billion) in a massive network of AI computing clusters in France, supporting Europe’s largest data center project as the region aims to catch up with the United States and China in AI infrastructure.

The commitment represents Masayoshi Son’s group’s largest AI investment outside the U.S. and gives Emmanuel Macron a boost ahead of the French president’s “Choose France” event this week, an annual gathering of dealmakers and executives.
