Sikeston native promoted to senior manager at Nutanix after years of t…

SIKESTON — Sikeston native Rose Blackman has been promoted to senior manager of worldwide support for Nutanix software in Durham, North Carolina. 

Blackman, daughter of Nita and Marvin Gilmore of Sikeston and Roger and Pam Blackman of Venice, Florida, joined the Durham support team in August 2018 as a systems reliability engineer. She became a support manager in 2021.

Blackman led the Files Specialization initiative in Durham and established a global files subject matter expert community with regular cross-functional interlocks. She developed the initial case plan of action concept and led its global implementation, continuing to work with the global leadership team and project management office to expand on the plan of action concept.

Blackman is part of the technical communities steering committee, helping to enable the success of global technical communities teams. She said she is equally passionate about developing new talent and future leaders while building trusted relationships with Nutanix clients and field teams.

A 2002 graduate of Sikeston High School where she served as the Red Pepper Cayenne, Blackman earned a bachelor’s degree in cyber security from Western Governors University, an associate’s degree in information systems technology, and a master’s degree in software engineering from Penn State.
