Sharon Osbourne responded to criticism that developing an AI version of Ozzy Osbourne was about money. I’m talking about the latest episode of The Osbournes On the podcast, Sharon addressed claims that the family was using new technology as a “money grab.”
In the episode, Sharon and Jack Osbourne described Ozzy’s AI avatar as a technological advancement, noting that if they didn’t do it, someone else would. Jack added that it is a “closed AI module” that is not connected to the internet. “Someone said, ‘It’s dangerous, you can’t control it,'” he said. “And I thought, ‘What the hell are you thinking?’ Terminator?’ Do you think this is going to get smart and the next thing you know Ozzy is going to fire the nukes?”
He added: “For me it’s not about pretending he’s still alive.”
Sharon replied, “He is still alive. He has left us a work that will never die.”
