The IDF has begun deploying “AI agents,” a technology that is gaining traction in the civilian sector and can carry out complex tasks independently of human operators.

A senior military official told YNET that the Army sees the technology as part of its future and some of these agents are already being used in unknown systems.

The official said Israel was using artificial intelligence Operation Roaring Lion is unprecedented. AI is integrated into command and control systems from the General Staff down and helps the Air Force plan and coordinate attacks in Iran and Lebanon, as well as navigate.
