“Real art creates data sets today”: Artists are not afraid of AI

Artificial intelligence is not our future overlord but a “child” that humanity is responsible for “co-educating”, according to one of the rare artists who has embraced machine learning to exhibit in a landmark exhibition in Sydney.

Fabien Giraud’s film The wild one is shot and edited by an AI system connected to cameras and microphones on a hill in central France. The ongoing work will be inspected below Data dreamsan exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in which 10 artists explore the evolving relationship between human and machine intelligence.
