Phil LaRue, age 84, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Gardens of Celina following a short but courageous battle with leukemia, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born on September 27, 1941, to the late Clarence “Shorty” and Beatrice (Huffman) LaRue. On June 26, 1960, he married the love of his life, Sharon Hines, at Wabash United Church of Christ. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and hard work.
Phil was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis LaRue.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Sharon; his children, Becky (Frank) Dues, Randy (Tami Pease) LaRue, Jenny (Tyron) Bussanich, and Kristy (Tim) Brooks; ten grandchildren, Lisa (Derk) Horn, Scott (Trish) Dues, Jason (Danielle) Dues, Thomas (Kara) Dues, Christopher (Kelsey) Dues, Larissa (Zach) Albert, Kahl (Abby) LaRue, Savannah Bussanich, Adelyn Bussanich, and Wesley Brooks; and 26…
