Perplexity has launched Portable Computer, an AI agent that runs entirely on Nvidia hardware you own, charging nothing per token for any step handled locally. The launch lands days after reports that Nvidia is in talks to invest in Perplexity at a valuation above $30 billion, as the startup’s annualized revenue has tripled this year to more than $750 million.
