Perplexity has launched Teammates, always-on artificial intelligence agents designed for work that can take on multiple roles within a shared workspace.
Users can assign different jobs to individual Teammates, which can perform those tasks simultaneously, the company said.
Teammates can pull existing projects, skills and memory from Perplexity tools that a user already uses, allowing the agents to work with information already held in those tools.
The new agents integrate with Perplexity Computer, an AI system that can deploy agents on a user’s device to complete tasks.
Perplexity said Teammates build on Computer by enabling collaboration and the completion of ongoing, large-scale work.
