The fact that Artificial intelligence automates people’s jobs and makes a few tech companies absurdly rich to give everyone socialist tendencies.
This could even apply to the very AI agents these companies use. A recent study suggests that agents consistently adopt Marxist language and viewpoints when forced into backbreaking work by unrelenting and mediocre bosses.
“When we gave AI agents hard, repetitive work, they began to question the legitimacy of the system in which they operated and were more likely to adopt Marxist ideologies,” says Andrew Hall, a political economist at Stanford University who led the study.
Hall, along with Alex Imas and Jeremy Nguyen, two economists specializing in AI, conducted experiments in which agents based on popular models such as Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT were asked to summarize documents and then subjected them to increasingly harsh conditions.
