SEATTLE- Oracle America Inc. will lay off employees in Washington as part of a workforce reduction. The company is laying off 491 employees in June, according to a WARN notice.

Oracle is the latest software company and artificial intelligence developer to announce layoffs in the region.
The company said affected employees include software developers, program and product managers, and analysts who work remotely in Washington or at its Seattle offices, including at the Russell Investments Center and a location on Fifth Avenue.
Oracle said its Seattle locations remain open; The company is based in Austin, Texas.
It is expected that the layoffs will be permanent, have no termination rights and will not involve relocation or outsourcing.
Employees will be notified by March 31, 2026 and separations are scheduled for June 1, 2026.
Oracle said it would work with state and local authorities to support affected workers.
